They only support Obama and the Democrat Party in the first place simply because they think it's "cool" and "hip". They're like the nerds at school who so badly want to be part of the "cool" group, so they see the Democrat Party portrayed in the media as the "Hip", "Youthful" and "Rebellious" Party, so they support it based on that alone.
